James C. Karr, 76, of Indianapolis, passed away Saturday, January 20, 2018. He was born to Irvin and Vivian Karr in 1941 in Ft. Wayne.
After graduating high school, James went to college and earned his Bachelor of Civil Engineering at Purdue. He worked as a civil engineer for the Indiana Department of Transportation for 35 years. He married Eleanor Scott in Brown County on October 11, 1985.
James enjoyed to spend his time on the golf course, and reading. He was also a musician he loved playing the guitar, mandolin, banjo, and piano. He loved to spend time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife, Eleanor Karr; his mother, Vivian Karr; two step-daughters, Marilyn (Richard) Wooten, and Linda (Leslie) Mink; two brothers, Duane Karr, and John (Becky) Karr; five step-grandchildren; ten step-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father. There are no services planned at this time.
