Barbara L. Piercy, 82, of Indianapolis, passed away, Sunday, January 21, 2018. She was born to James Taylor and Bernice Clark in 1935.
Throughout her life Barbara spent her time being a homemaker, taking care of her family. Barbara always enjoyed doing crossword puzzles, playing scrabble, and Yahtzee. She loved to take a day and go shopping, finishing her day out by stopping somewhere to eat. When she didn't go out shopping, Barbara didn't stop, she would shop out of magazines. She loved watching TV soap operas, her favorite being General Hospital.
Barbara is survived by her five children: Deborah (Michael) Wilcher of Indianapolis, Dawn Marie Piercy of Greenwood, Gregory (Stephanie) Koch of Washington, IL, Pamela Bowman of Arizona, and Lucas Stiles of Indianapolis; two sisters, Linda Godar of Missouri, and Patty Hill of Idaho; two brothers, James Taylor of Utah, and Tom Prunty of Illinois; seven grandchildren; several great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Piercy; her parents; and a sister, Joyce Beer.
A visitation will be Monday from noon to 1 p.m. with a funeral service at 1pm at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel. Burial will be at Forest Lawn Memory Gardens.
