Betty M. Farris, 73, of New Whiteland, passed away, Wednesday, April 11, 2018. She was born to Elija and Sarah Patrick in Frenchburg, KY on November 13, 1944.
Betty was a waitress at Shoney’s. She loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She had a dog named Smokey, that she loved dearly. Betty loved the outdoors, she enjoyed going fishing, and camping in the summer time. Betty loved to cook and crochet. She enjoyed playing lottery tickets and going to the casino.
Betty is survived by her four children, Tammy Farris of Waldron, Kathy Stevenson of Florida, Mary Parton of Franklin, and Eddie Farris of New Whiteland; a sister, Patsy Patrick of North Carolina; four brothers, Charles Patrick of Kentucky, Winfred Patrick of Amity, Elijah W. Patrick Jr. of Whiteland, and Terry Patrick of New Whiteland; 15 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren.
Betty was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Frank Farris; her parents, Elija and Sarah Patrick; a brother, Billy Patrick, and a sister, Norma Jean Patrick.
A visitation will be, Tuesday, April 17th from 6 p.m. to 7 p.m. with a memorial service immediately following, at Jessen Funeral Home, 729 N. U.S. HWY 31, Whiteland, IN 46184. Arrangements entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel.
