Carol S. Smith, 68, of New Whiteland, born May 19, 1951 passed away August 29, 2019. She was a stay at home Mother to her five children for many years. She then worked to obtain her CDL License to drive across country with her husband for several years. She took immense pride in working for KMK Trucking which was owned and operated by her son Kirk Key. After Driving she retired home to become a full time Grandmother and the Matriarch of her Family.
Some of her hobbies include: Dollar Store Shopping, Attending her Grandchildren’s artistic, ceremonial and sporting events, playing solitaire on her computer, Weekend drives with her sisters, being the Unofficial Founder of The Golden Girls Fan Club, and in her spare time storm chasing.
She is Survived by: Tom Smith, Children and their Spouses: Angela Key (Daughter-in-law), Keith and (Amy) Key, Chad Key, Kristie and (Kevin) Hayes and Todd Smith. Grandchildren: Cameron Key, Lillian Smith, Alexxis Surber, Caleb Smith, Emily Key, Collin Key, Haley Smith, Jacob Key and Tyler Key. Great Grandchildren: Aribella Surber Siblings: DuAnna Reid, Eric Reid and Judi Reid. She was Preceded in death by her parents William and Marcella Reid and her son Kirk Key.
Her Final Resting Place will be at West Newton Cemetery at a time that has yet to be pre-determined.
