Carol A. Vandivier, 72, of Greenwood, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, January 11, 2019. She was born to Clifford and Georgia (Eaton) Rowley on August 31, 1946 in Terre Haute.
Carol married her lifetime sweetheart, Joe Vandivier in Rosedale on May 14, 1966. She worked in the admissions department at Memorial Clinic, retiring in 2000. She was a member of Grace Assembly of God in Whiteland. Carol helped at the church with the Great Harvest Food Pantry. Carol was a mighty woman of God. She was a great prayer warrior. She was also a member of the Christian Motorcycle Group for many years. Carol loved to garden and go shopping. She loved spending time with her family and friends. Carol loved animals, especially her dog and grand dogs.
Carol is survived by her husband of 52 years, Joe Vandivier of Greenwood; her children, Shawnette (John) Clipp of New Whiteland, Alecia (Jonathan) Scott of Greenwood, and Thomas (Tammy) Vandivier of Trafalgar; her 12 grandchildren, Jerid Mullis, Gavin Clipp, Katelin Clipp, Nicole (Caleb) Miller, Alexis Nichols, Devon Scott, Kylee Scott, Ryan Scott, Caden Vandivier, Tyler Waldon, Joshua Mosson, and Sydney Mosson; two great-grandchildren, Huntley Mullis and Kamryn Nichols; and her two lifelong friends, Mary Howard and Thelma Gendron.
Carol was preceded in death by her parents, Clifford and Georgia (Eaton) Rowley; her brothers, Robert Rowley, Edward Rowley, and Gerald Rowley; and her son-in-law, Duane Mullis.
Memorial contributions can be made in Carol’s honor to Great Harvest Food Pantry at Grace Assembly of God.
A visitation will be Wednesday, January 16th from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, 729 N. U.S. Hwy 31, Whiteland, IN 46184. A funeral service will be Thursday, January 17th at 11 a.m. at Grace Assembly of God, 6822 N. U.S. Hwy 31, Whiteland, IN 46184.
