Frances N. (Sanford) Ramsay, 97, of Franklin, passed away Saturday, April 13, 2019. She was born to Noble and Emma (Conner) Sanford on December 19, 1921 in Johnson County.
Frances worked at Camp Atterbury in the laundry department. She also worked for Varynit Mills, the garment factory in Franklin for many years. Frances loved to go dancing and skating. She loved listening to all types of music. Frances was an animal lover. Frances loved spending time with her children and grandchildren. Frances was a member of the American Legion and Franklin Senior Citizens.
Frances is survived by her daughter, Shirley Roberts of Whiteland; her grandchildren, Russell (Jenny) Roberts, Kellie Roberts, Toby Ramsay, and Jake Ramsay; her great-grandchildren, Krista (Matt) Parmer; Craig Roberts, Bailey Roberts, Justin Roberts, Levi Roberts, Dalton Roberts, Cody Turner, and Eli Roberts; and her great-grandchildren, Kyran Roberts, Kacie Roberts, Hailey Roberts, and Xaiver Roberts.
Frances was preceded in death by her husband, George Ramsay; her parents, Noble and Emma (Conner) Sanford; her brother, Harold Sanford; her sisters, Evangeline Sanford and Dorothy VanSickle; her grandson, Michael Roberts; and her great-grandson, Kyle Roberts.
A visitation will be Tuesday, April 16th from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, 197 E. Jefferson St., Franklin, IN 46131. A funeral service will be Wednesday, April 17th at 1 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
