Glenn D. Wilhite Sr., 81, of Franklin, passed away Monday, August 20, 2018 surrounded by his loving family. He was born to Maurice (Edna) Wilhite and Luabelle (Jim) Reffner in Franklin on July 4, 1937.
Glenn married Victoria (Loch) Wilhite in Sevierville, Tennessee. Glenn worked in the factory at Arvin’s, the garden center at Walmart and was a truck driver for many years. He retired in 2007. Glenn loved to go fishing whenever he had the chance. He loved to go searching for special finds in antique malls and flea markets. Glenn collected eagle figurines and clocks. He loved spending time with his family.
Glenn is survived by his wife, Victoria Wilhite; his children, Glenn D. (Erin) Wilhite, Jr., Michael (Cheryl) Wilhite, Pamela Ramsey, Worth (Sherri) Wilhite, Billy Glass, and Victoria (Denton) Broady; step-children, Sherry (Ron) Kieper, Angie (Mike) Bennett, and Mollie Henry; son-in-law Rick Willard; and many grand and great-grandchildren.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Luabelle (Jim) Reffner and Maurice (Edna) Wilhite; three children, Cheryl Willard, Becky Lee Carr, and Glenda Kay Wilhite; and a brother, Kenny Wilhite; and a great-grandson.
A service will be Thursday, August 23, 2018 at 1 p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel, 729 N. U.S. Hwy 31, Whiteland, IN 46184. A visitation will be from 11 a.m. until time of service. Services are to be conducted by Chaplain Tracy Ross and Chaplain Johanna Morris. Burial will be at Nineveh Cemetery. Arrangements entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel.
