Grover Stone, 69, of Whiteland, passed away Friday, March 8, 2019. He was born to James and Cecelia (Armstrong) Stone on September 7, 1949 in Indianapolis.
Grover married Cindy Kelsay on July 5, 2003 in Franklin. Grover worked as a custodian for Franklin Township School System for 15 years, retiring in 2018. He was an avid fisherman. He enjoyed going fishing during the summers. Grover loved spending time with his family. His dogs held a very special place in his heart. Grover was a kind man and was loved by all. He was a wonderful husband, father, and brother. He will be greatly missed by all of his friends and family.
Grover is survived by his wife, Cindy (Kelsay) Stone of Whiteland; his daughters, Allison Bradley of Terre Haute and Kelsay Bradley of Indianapolis; his sisters, Lola Haggerty of Haggerstown, MD and Penny O’Neill of Plainfield.
Grover was preceded in death by his parents, James and Cecelia (Armstrong) Stone and his sister, Sandy Stone.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Grover’s honor to the Indianapolis Animal Care and Services, 2600 S. Harding St., Indianapolis, IN 46221.
A celebration of life service will be at 1 p.m. on Sunday, April 28th at Adams Elementary 7341 E. Stop 11 Rd., Indianapolis, IN 46259.
