Leonard Beaty, 79, of Greenwood, passed away Sunday, July 1, 2018. He was born on November 11, 1938 to Elzy and Marie Beaty in Kentucky.
Leonard married his lifetime sweetheart, Linda Lee on July 15, 1967, who passed away July 3, 2018. He worked for Davidson’s Lumber Company for 35 years. Leonard loved working on cars, the car of choice for him was a Ford. He loved watching NASCAR, the Wendy Williams Show, and game shows. Leonard never turned down the opportunity to spend time with his grandchildren. Leonard loved to go to Indiana Grand and try his luck. He loved to smoke cigars.
Leonard is survived by his children, children, Teresa (Jeffrey) Emerson of Greenwood, Douglas Beaty of Greenwood, Tammy (David) Smith of Greenwood, and Tina (Chris) Beaty of Greenwood; two brothers, Ernest Beaty of Greenwood, and Jack (Debbie) Beaty of Greenwood; nine grandchildren, Dylan (Brooke), Brayton, Ryenne, Evynne, Kristen, Eli, Noah, Olivia, and Adair; two great-grandchildren, Kyzr and Esme, and a nephew, Robert Luttrel.
Leonard was preceded in death by his parents Elzy and Marie Beaty; four brothers, Clifford, Arvil, Harold and Johnny Beaty, and a sister Mary Luttrel.
Memorial service will be held on Linda and Leonard’s 51st anniversary, Sunday, July 15th from 2-5 p.m. at the Greenwood American Legion, 334 US-31, Greenwood, IN 46142.
