Lila Lea (Taylor) Pruitt age 90, of Greenwood, IN passed away Friday, May 3, 2019. She was born to Lloyd and Lelia G. (Shoptaw) Taylor on July 29, 1928 in Linton, IN.
Lila spent her life as a homemaker. She enjoyed going to the casino and playing bingo. She also enjoyed reading and doing puzzles. Lila loved her family very much.
Lila is survived by her children, Terri Lynn (Randy) Poag of Columbia, TN, Patti Arlene (Randy) Beattey of Unionville, IN, Jacqueline Jane (George) Bower of Greenwood, IN, Linda Ann (William) Henderson of Kempton, IN, and William Hollen (Jamie) Pruitt of Southport, IN.; her brother, Lloyd Don Rolland Taylor of Indianapolis, IN; 20 grandchildren; 25 great-grandchildren; and seven great-great grandchildren.
Lila was preceded in death by her parents, Lloyd O. and Lelia G. (Shoptaw) Taylor; her son, Joseph Hollen Pruitt; her sisters, Marilyn Tomey, Lou Butler, and Joy Alfeldt; and her brother, John Taylor.
A memorial service will be Saturday, May 11th at 5 p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, 729 N. U.S. Hwy 31, Whiteland, IN 46184. Friends and family may gather from 3 p.m. until time of service.
Memorial Contributions may take the form of donations to the American Heart Association, Multiple Sclerosis Foundation or the donor's choice of charity.
