Linda Lee (Stoker) Gillespie, 71, of Albuquerque, New Mexico, passed away on April 27th, 2019. She was born on April 14th, 1948 in San Angelo, Texas, on a military base. Her father was serving in the Navy, at the time. She born to George “G.B.” Stoker and Susan “Ann” Dewar Terras Ford Stoker (formally of Strathmiglo, Scotland). Linda grew up in Terre Haute and graduated from Garfield High School, in 1967. Linda worked towards a nursing degree, but was kept from completing it, due to health issues.

She loved everything Elvis, Betty Boop, and watching soap operas. She also enjoyed lollipops, chocolate, and cokes. Linda loved corresponding with and calling her children. She spent her last years in a skilled care facility, in Albuquerque. We would like thank the staff of The Rehabilitation Center of Albuquerque for all of the love and care that they gave our mother. A special thanks goes to our family friend, Vickie Lang, who watched over our mom and was a true friend to her. We rejoice that mom is now in heaven and is no longer having to struggle with her many health issues.

Linda is survived by her children: Tamara (Dean) Bolton, of Huntingburg, In., Donald (Jennifer) Sanders, of New Whiteland, In., William Gillespie, of Lubbock, Tx., and Jessica McGuire, of Whiteland, In., her sister: Ann Harvey of Terre Haute, In. seven grandchildren: Parker (Rebeka) Sanders, Rebekah Bolton, Brianna Sanders, Caitlyn Bolton, Caleb (Whitney) Sanders, Kimberly Bolton, and Ethan Sanders, four great-grandchildren: Kennley, Elliana Emberly, and Kyden, with one on the way, Callie, one niece: Tonya Acord, from Clinton, In., a great-nephew: Reece Berry, also of Clinton, and many extended family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, G.B. and Ann Stoker, her husband, Robert Gillespie, and her brother-in-law, Leon Harvey.

A private family service was held on May 8th, in Terre Haute, In. There will be no internment, at this time. Special thanks goes to Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel for handling the arrangements. In lieu of flowers, please make a donation, in her memory, to your favorite charity.
