Michael Connelly, 76, of Greenwood, passed away Thursday, March 7, 2019. Michael was born on August 30, 1942 in Salamanca, NY to Bette Ehman Connelly and Robert Connelly. He graduated from Ellicottville Central Highschool in upstate New York and served 4 years in the USAF at Ft. Bragg, N.C. He retired from Snap-On Tools after 32 years of service beginning as a salesman and working up to a position of Field Service Manager and mentor to many new recruits. Michael was survived by his wife and best friend since middle school, Margie, daughters Marcy Thomsen (Garry) and Michelle Crissinger. He had 6 grandchildren: Michael Rigney (Tammy), Melyssa Skaggs (Joshua), Ashley Thomsen, Bradley Thomsen, Matthew Rigney (Kesley), Aaron Hoskins
He had 15 great-grandchildren: Michael is also survived by his sister Sheila Fulgenzi, brother Ben Fulgenzi, Sister in law Linda Scharlatt (Mark) and 2 nieces.
His favorite pastimes included trips in his RVs, visiting friends in NY and Florida, looking at/purchasing/modifying fast cars, Starbucks coffee (very hot) and explosives! Mike and his son-in-law Garry knew exactly where to purchase the best fireworks for the family to watch. He will be missed tremendously by all.
A gathering will be held at a later date.
