Naomi Marie Bryson, 78, passed away Friday, November 9, 2018 in Franklin, Indiana. Naomi was born to the late Chester Marion Rusher Sr. and Hazel Marie Rusher (Campbell) in Owensboro, Kentucky.
Naomi spent a lot of her time doing volunteer work for the Trinity Broadcasting Network. She was a member of the Grace Assembly of God as well as the Franklin Assembly of God. Naomi was a nurse for many years, caring for sick and disabled patients until the age of 71, when her own health began to prohibit her. Her family, her patients, and her Christian volunteer work defined her life.
Naomi is survived by four children: Richard P. Bryson, Jr. (Jeannie), Allan S. Bryson (Peggy), Michael Bryson, and Joseph Bailey II (Danielle); one sister, Linda Strength; seven grandchildren: Kristana Sullivan-Carey, Evan Bryson, Ashley Davis, Lauren Jeffers, Andrew Bryson, Ian Bryson, and Gabe Bryson. She is also survived by six great-grandchildren.
Naomi was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Richard Bryson Sr.; one brother, Chester Marion Rusher Jr.; as well as two children, Yvonne Marie Bailey and Kimberly Sullivan.
A visitation will be held Thursday, November 15th at Jessen Funeral Home, 729 N. U.S. Hwy 31, Whiteland, IN 46184, from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. A funeral service will be held Friday, November 16th at 12 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Greenlawn Cemetery in Franklin.
