Oscar Harold Humble, 91, of Franklin, passed away Sunday, January 20, 2019. He was born to Latimer and Laura May (Winfrey) Humble on June 23, 1927 in Russell Springs, Kentucky.
Oscar worked as a forklift driver at Arvin’s for over 40 years, retiring in 1985. Oscar was a fix-it man, always finding ways to repair broken items. He enjoyed being outside in his garden. Some of his favorite things to plant were tomatoes, green beans, and cucumbers. Oscar enjoyed going to flea markets. His favorite dog was his poodle, Annie. He also had two chihuahuas Jiggers and Kirby.
Oscar is survived by his four children, Peggy (Kenny) Workman of Franklin, Daniel (Grace) Humble of Franklin, David Humble of Edinburgh, and Cindy (Chris) Richardson of Franklin; 11 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Oscar was preceded in death by his first wife, Dorothy Gammon Humble; his second wife, Aline Webb Humble; his parents, Latimer and Laura May Humble; his brothers, Avery, Edward and Samuel Humble; and his sisters, Nola, Bonnie, Euleen, Mary, Audrey, and Margie.
