Virginia Ruth Wilson, 88, of Indianapolis, passed away Tuesday, July 10, 2018. She was born to Orla L. and Lillie M. (Willoughby) Landers on May 13, 1930 in Trammel, Ky.
Virginia spent her life being a homemaker. She enjoyed taking care of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She loved to spend her time gardening and crocheting. Virginia was a member of the New Harmony General Baptist Church in Indianapolis for many years.
Virginia is survived by her four children, Donald (Sherrie) Wilson of Clayton, Stanley (Paquita) Wilson of Chandler, AZ, Maxie (Lisa) Wilson of Lawrence, and Lorrie Stewart of Trafalgar; a sister, Carol (Leon) Reynolds of Scottsville, Ky; 12 grandchildren, Shannon Hobbs, Amber Denae Wilson, Nikki Terhune, Kyle Wilson, Brittany Rolland, Monica Wilson, Paul Wilson, Lucas Wilson, Amy Armstrong, Aaron Haag, Scott Wilson, and Zachary Pate; nine great-grandchildren, Jonathon and Joshua Hobbs, Hayley and Brantley Terhune, Hunter, Corbin, and Austin Wilson, Kyla and Chase Rolland, Abby and Joel Stewart, Matthew Armstrong, Ember Duncan, Cadence and Kynadie Wilson.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband, Floyd Wilson; her parents, Orla and Lillie Landers; one brother, Harold Landers; two sisters, Lucille Coles, and Joyce Scalf; and a son, William David Wilson.
Visitation will be Monday, July 16th from 4-8p.m. at Jessen Funeral Home, 729 N. U.S. Hwy 31, Whiteland. A funeral service will be Tuesday, July 17th at 10a.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at East Hill Cemetery in Morgantown. Arrangements entrusted to Jessen Funeral Home, Whiteland Chapel.
