Barbara Elizabeth (Thomas) Scott, resident of Indianapolis, Indiana and known by those who loved her as “Nanny”, passed away on May 6, 2022 in Indianapolis at age 75. She was surrounded by loved ones when she passed.
Nanny was born October 2, 1946 in Indianapolis to the late Carrie (Stovall) Thomas and James Thomas, Sr.
Nanny’s family will remember her for her love of plants and famous cheeseball, but most of all, for her spunky humor and stubborn independence.
Nanny is survived by her daughters, Kimberly Schauinger and Teresa Eads; her grandchildren, James Lochard, Jr., Amanda Davie, Crystal Wiles, and Shannon Lochard; 13 great-grandchildren and one grand-dog, Negan; her siblings, Charlotte Lime, James Thomas, Jr., Kenneth Thomas, and Betty Rigney.
Nanny was preceded in death by her parents, Carrie and James Sr., and her brother-in-law, David Lime.
The funeral will be a private ceremony with only close family members present.
