Charles Grover Burton, 90, of Whiteland, Indiana passed away November 6th, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
Charles was born on August 8th, 1930 in Needham, Indiana to the late Joe Burton and Florence (Cooley) Burton.
Charles served in the United States Army and was a truck driver for numerous trucking companies before retiring in 1985.
Charles could be found at home spending time with his family and tending to his garden. Charles enjoyed golfing and bowling while in the company of his friends.
Charles is survived by his beloved wife of 68 years, Ilene (Cochran) Burton, of Whiteland, Indiana; his two children, Connie Bensalem of Stuart, Florida and Carolyn (Terry) Lewis, of Whiteland, Indiana; his sister Linda Dayton, of Coweta, Oklahoma; his two brothers Bill (Bonnie) Burton of Huntsville, Alabama and Larry (Joyce) Burton of Edinburgh, Indiana; his two grandchildren, Dustin and Clayton Lewis; and his three great grandchildren.
Charles is preceded in death by his parents; his two brothers Edgar and Dwight Burton; and his sisters; Nadine Adams and Phyllis Johnson.
Private family services will be held.
Per the Indiana State Governor, Eric Holcomb, and the Indiana State Health Department's mandate, all services and visitations are limited to 50 people or less as of November 15th, 2020. Masks are required to be worn.
