David A. Cox, 55, of Franklin, entered into rest on July 3, 2020 in Indianapolis.
David was born on January 30, 1965 to the late John Wm. Cox, Sr. and Dora Irene (Shipp) Ferrell.
David enjoyed welding and fishing. In his spare time, he enjoyed watching Colts football, wrestling, drag races, and demolition derbies. He participated in demolition derbies at the Johnson County 4-H Fair. David was also an ordained minister.
David is survived by his loving companion, Jodi Brown; his son, Anthony Ramirez of Franklin; his daughter, Sierra Cox of Franklin; his sisters, Mary Cox of Franklin and Dawn Marie Cox of Indianapolis; his brothers, Roger Cox of Greenwood and Brian (Laura) Cox of Indianapolis; his grandchildren, Anthony Wiley, Aiden Wiley and Madison Green; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brother, John Wm. Cox, II.
A Celebration of Life service will be conducted at 6pm on July 9, 2020 at Jessen Funeral Home — Whiteland Chapel with Rev. Brandon Jolley officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm until the service at the funeral home.
