James Mitchell Curtis, 53, of Indianapolis, Indiana, passed away on Tuesday, December 29th, 2020 in Indianapolis, Indiana.
James was born on June 19th, 1967 in Indianapolis, Indiana to the late Kenneth Curtis and Thelma (Morris) Castaneda.
James was a cat-lover at heart and enjoyed spending time with his feline companions. He was a fan of fantasy fiction and was always excited to find unique pieces to add to his collection of gargoyle and dragon figurines while flea marketing. James was a wonderful father and loving grandfather. He will be dearly missed.
James is survived by his five children, Justin Curtis of Indianapolis, Indiana, Kegan Carpenter of Franklin, Indiana, Danielle (Christopher) Finneran of Greenwood, Indiana, Jamie Curtis of Carmel, Indiana, Courtney (Nathan) Kelser of Michigan; his brother, Ken Curtis of Florida; his two grandchildren; his step-father, Agoberto Castaneda of Indianapolis, Indiana.
A funeral service will be conducted on Monday, January 4th, 2021 at 6:00 PM at Jessen Funeral Home ~ Whiteland Chapel with visitation from 4:00 PM until the funeral hour. James will be laid to rest at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Greenwood, Indiana.
Per the Indiana State Governor, Eric Holcomb, and the Indiana State Department of Health's mandate, all services and visitations are limited to 25 people or less as of December 13th, 2020. Masks are mandatory and are to be worn at all times.
