William D. Vandivier, 98, of Franklin/Indianapolis, passed away March 10, 2020 in Franklin.
William was born January 28, 1922 in Franklin, IN to the late Dault Vandivier and Freda Strohmeyer Vandivier. He married Rosemary Tague Vandivier who preceded him in death in 2009.
William was a US Army veteran who faithfully served his country during World War II.
Survivors include Luba Ralston who was like a daughter to him; two nephews, Dan Vandivier (Rhonda) and William Arehart (Penny); three nieces, Stacy Duckworth (Danny), Cheryl Green and Cindy Thompson; three cousins, Jane Michener, Beth Ann Russell and Michael Michener; several grand nieces, grand nephews and other cousins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife; two sister, Florence Arehart, Reba Green and one brother, Richard Vandivier.
Funeral Services for William will be at 12 p.m. Friday, March 13, 2020 at Jessen Funeral Home – Franklin Chapel with visitation beginning at 11 a.m. on Friday at the funeral home. He will be laid to rest at Greenlawn Cemetery immediately following the service.
